Personality;
Personality; Jason is a perceptive boy who notices the littlest things in others. He has a creative imagination and likes to amuse himself by imagining a fellow student’s back-story or history without them telling him anything. He finds it easy to remain calm in dangerous situations and has the ability to easily focus on a task even with exterior distractions. Jason does not empathize with others and keeps people at a distance – to protect himself – which makes him a bit of a loner. He does not care about authority, what people think of him or obeying rules just because someone told him to. He does not deal with his emotions but instead represses and hides them from the world, pushing them aside as irrelevant and unnecessary. They merely cloud logical judgement and present a way for him to lose control and potentially let slip his secret. Jason gets an adrenalin rush from dangerous situations and likes extreme sports. He will come out with statements others might consider outrageous. Jason is a curios boy but does not satisfy this by asking questions but instead uses his own intelligence to reach his own conclusions and assume that they are either right or he will never know the answer.

He has a resentful temper and when you have lost his good opinion you will never get it back. Hence why he still cannot forgive his mother for what she did and feels he is better alone. Jason does not lie for personal pleasure and is honest except when lying is essential in order that no-one will ever find out his secret and be able to use it against him. He is capable of forming relationships, he loves his father, but he chooses not to on the whole. Jason has no believe in himself which he hides with a front of almost arrogance. Jason does not handle sitting doing nothing very well. He is naturally an intelligent and logical boy but does not work for class as he does not like working on command. Instead he keeps his brain occupied with crosswords, puzzles and riddles. He loves to solve problems especially word related ones. He hates cowardice and will step into defend someone who is being bullied. Though he will be more interested in defeating the bully than doing it for the victim. Therefore if the victim tried to thank him he would ignore them and just walk away. Despite the way he is Jason's father has taught him that family means something and that bond should be respected.

Background;
Jason was born at 10.30am on the 25th April 2005. He was born at Brixton Memorial Hospital to Charles Weasley and Miranda Laurel. His father was unaware of his birth, or even of his conception, and his mother went through labor alone. She had no living family. She had been traveling the world on back-packing when she met Charlie in a pub and had her one night stand. Miranda had not wanted a child but when the hospital had suggested she was incapable of raising a child she had made the determined decision to not only raise Jason but to do a good job at it. However she had not had a very good childhood and had never been taught how to raise a child.

Jason spent a lot of time home alone while his mother was out working. When he was a baby she would pop home from work regularly but as soon as he outgrew bottle feeds and diaper changes he was left to look after himself until evening. Jason would let himself out the house and do as he pleased. Making sure he was home in time for when his mother returned. An intelligent child he mastered this quickly. He could sense his mother did not really want him and this built a resentment between mother and son. Jason was out in the woods behind his house when he was seven and was attacked by a werewolf, though at the time he was unaware of what it was. His mother finally decided enough was enough and took her child back to Romania. Dumping him on his dad's doorstep and driving away.

It was very difficult at first. Jason was dealing with abandonment issues, his new status as a werewolf and a personality which had been twisted to prevent him trusting easily. However his father took him in and using the information found in the note Miranda had left he stepped up as a father. He worked hard to earn the trust of his son and took time away from work to be there for him. He researched the wolfsbane potion and located an old dragon stable that was now abandoned for his son to use when he needed it. He slowly chipped away at his son's defenses and Jason came to not only trust his father but to love him. It was not until Jason was ten that he was introduced to his extended family. Charlie took him to a family Christmas. Jason found the entire event too difficult and spent most of it sitting in a corner beside Roxanne Weasley who seemed equally uncomfortable. The two talked, in small halting sentences, and Jason came to respect Roxanne. He now tolerates his relatives as part of his family and deep down knows he would care if anything happened to them even though he wouldn't show it. His father taught him that the family bond should be respected and he should stand up for his family when required.

What house your character thinks they should be in:

Jason had not really considered his house. He did not really care what house he was put in. The entire business made him uncomfortable, not that he would ever show it. A hat that could look into his mind and pick his best traits. However curiosity got the better of him and he determined to pick a house and then see if he was right and the hat picked the same house. With this new goal in mind, he enjoyed having goals, he began to consider his options. Hufflepuff was instantly dismissed as hard-work was something Jason avoided based on the fact it came hand in hand with working on command. His loyalty was limited to a select few and he could not vouch for his patience.

Jason pondered Slytherin for slightly more time but his logical mind raced through the words associated with it and dismissed it likewise. Jason lived for the now rather than pondering a future. Even with his creative imagination he had never considered his future too far in advance. He also had no house loyalty as he had been taught family loyalty and nothing else. He did not like being linked to the word cunning either, even if he could be. This led him logically onto Gryffindor as the two houses seemed to come up most together. He could put his bravery forward as an asset but could never admit that he was chivalrous. That would be a lie as he fought bullies for the sake of beating someone who deserved it rather than defending a victim.

This left the last house; Ravenclaw. He was intelligent. He was well aware of that. His mother had told him too intelligent for his own good but he had ignored her. He did not entertain thoughts that did not seem to have a point. He had to turn the phrase 'open-minded' around in his mind before he could decide. He supposed that he did not judge someone based on their race, gender or age. That in the broadest sense of the term could be considered open-minded. With a small nod he determined on Ravenclaw. Then cleared his mind so that the hat would not mistake this for a request and be influenced.
