Personality;
Personality; Aries has completely bought into his parents' world view. He considers himself royalty simply because he's a Burke. He believes purebloods are better than everyone else, and especially looks down on muggles, mudbloods, blood-traitors, half-breeds, and other species. He's also a white-supremacist, and an eugenecist - he thinks that people with disabilities are a waste of space. Part of all his prejudices is just that he was raised as though he was superior, and he enjoys feeling that way and being powerful. That also explains why he is such a nasty and violent bully. He picks on anyone he considers to be inferior (which is most everyone), and will push people around and be rather abusive if they let him, as is evidenced by his house-elf. The only people he shows any semblance of respect towards are other pure-bloods (who aren't blood traitors). Though, even among them, he sees himself as better than.

Because Aries views himself so highly, it doesn't take much to make him an enemy - just insult him or act like he's not important. But it takes a lot to provoke him enough to act rashly - he always thinks things through. But he will make you pay - painfully. However, when necessary, he's not afraid to get into a fight or, preferably, a duel. But he'd much prefer to send a curse at your back. On the other hand, there's very few people that he genuinely likes, though there are those he pretends to like.

Aries wishes he'd been around during the Dark Lord's reign, and dreams of one day finishing what he started. However, he knows now is not the time, with so many would-be allies either dead or imprisoned. Plus the fact that he's only 14. But he truly does believe that he can one day take the Dark Lord's place in starting a war to have purebloods rule over everyone else. And himself above them. In case that isn't indication enough, Aries is rather cocky. In some ways, it's not unjustified. He is a very talented young wizard with a real talent for the Dark Arts (he learns at home and secretly teaches himself at school). He's also a decent flier, though not as good as he thinks he is.

However, Aries' true talents lie in deception and manipulation. He's very perceptive and is good at figuring out how to get people do what he wants. He's also a skilled liar, and can seem to be someone else entirely when he wants to be. Therefore, many of the teachers think he's a perfect angel, and would never believe it if one of the muggleborn first years told them how much he abused them. He's cunning and clever and knows how to get his way.
Likes; Quidditch (he thinks he's a great seeker), the dark arts, feeling superior, feeling powerful, getting what he wants, having his way, bossing people around, Serpentina (one of few people he actually likes)

Strengths; He's extremely manipulative, cunning, clever, and a good liar. He's actually very advanced in the Dark Arts, and is very ahead of his age with that - he's trying to learn legilimency and the unforgivable curses already (though he's got a ways to go yet). He's also pretty good at most other magic, especially wand-magic. He's relatively athletic and decent at Quidditch, though not as much as he seems to think.
Weaknesses; he's immensely prejudiced, and there's not many people he can get on with because of it. He doesn't like many people and there are very few that he actually cares about. He's an abusive and violent bully, thinks he's basically royalty, and is extremely cocky.
Quirks; When his bangs get in his eyes he flips his head to get them out instead of using his hand to push them away.
Habits; When he's thinking or planning, he rubs his thumb in circles in his pointer finger.
Best Class; He's best at the Dark Arts but, since that isn't actually a class, his best class would probably be Defense Against the Dark Arts

Background;
Pansy Parkinson was a big supporter of the Dark Lord. She wasn't able to do much for the war effort, because she was so young. She did fight in the final battle, but had little enough impact, overall, and was still so young (just 17) that she wasn't pursued by law enforcement. Both her parents, however, were imprisoned. Perseus Burke, meanwhile, had been an active Death Eater who had helped to take over the Ministry. Both his parents died in the war, but Perseus lived and managed to escape Azkaban by claiming he'd been under the imperious curse.

After the Dark Lord died, both Pansy and Perseus had to be a little more careful about what they said and did, so as not to arouse suspicion. But neither gave up their old views. They both still supported the Dark Lord, and secretly hoped that someone would come along to take his place. They still held a fascination with the dark arts, and even the unforgivable curses, though they are more careful about using them. They still believed that purebloods were superior to everyone else, and looked down upon muggles and mudbloods and other creatures. They still abused house-elves. Recently there's been legislation against that, but it wasn't like the house-elves were going to tell on them. Plus, the elves mostly punished themselves, which would make it harder to prosecute.

With so many purebloods dead, imprisoned, or blood-traitors, there weren't as many left like Pansy and Perseus as they would have liked. So it didn't take much for them to fall in love, being so like minded. Plus, it helped things that Perseus was well off. He was an only child from a wealthy pure-blood family with dead parents, and inherited everything - including a very large manor that was practically a castle. Plus, Perseus managed to keep his job at the Ministry and keep working his way up, leaving him with a pretty well-paying job. Pansy was hardly poor, but her family had never been as well off as they acted, and she'd always been expected to find a wealthy man to marry.

Not long after his parents married, Aries was born. He was treated like royalty, as his family seemed to think that being a Burke made you just that. And that made Aries, as the eldest child and only son, the prince and heir to the throne. Or, in this case, the family name and fortune. His parents thought very highly of him and really did seem to believe he could do anything, giving Aries a rather big ego and leading him to believe the exact same thing. They tended to spoil him rotten, and Aries knew how to get what he wanted from them. Therefore, he was only five when he convinced his parents to buy him his own personal house-elf, Trixie. They had a family elf that his dad had inherited, Sherbert, but apparently that wasn't enough and Aries needed his own personal elf to boss around.

Ever since he was a baby, Aries had playdates with Serpintina Zabini, who lived not far away (though they have such large properties that it seems farther). Aries' mother knew Serpintina's father in school, and they both knew how hard it was to find a suitable pureblood family these days. So many purebloods had died or been imprisoned or, worse, were blood traitors. Both families held similar ideals, and were suitably wealthy. So, when they both had children around the same time and found they were even of opposite genders, they decided they would simplify things for their kids and set them up to be married one day. Aries was never told, but he did become fast friends with Serpintina, all the same. They were similar people and got along well, and spent most of their time together. So, for now, his parents had no need to tell him of their plans, since they assume it will eventually happen on its own.

When not playing with Serpintina, Aries made his own fun. Sometimes he picked on the muggles in the area, though he had to walk a ways just to get off his own property. Others, he enjoyed setting his sister up. He was already treated preferentially, being the eldest and the only son (which made him the heir). But he set himself up to also be the favorite. He knew his sister admired him and would do whatever he said, and therefor, coupled with his ability to manipulate people, found it easy to get her in trouble. His parents expected her to be a perfect pureblood girl, conscious even when she was young of the need for her to find a good, wealthy, pureblood husband one day. So Aries would find a way to convince her to cut her own hair in a really bad way, get muddy, or even hang out with the local muggles. Despite setting her up and even telling on her, he somehow managed to make Hydra believe he was looking out for her.

House your character feels they should be in:

Aries strode confidently forward, not a doubt in his mind where he would wind up. His parents said all good purebloods went to Slytherin, and both sides of his family had been for generations. That was where he'd meet the most people that might one day become of use.

Besides, it fit his personality. He was ambitious - he wanted to take over the world one day. It sounded naive when he phrased it like that, he supposed. But The Dark Lord had come awful close. And if he could do it, why couldn't Aries? Plus, he was cunning. He was smart and manipulative and new how to get what he wanted. And, last but not least, self-preservation. He fit that. He came before anyone else. The only time he made sacrifices was to get something. But, in the long run, the end game was always for him to achieve. Everyone else came second. Even Serpintina, who was really the only other person he cared about at all. So, as he sat on the stool and let the hat fall on his head, he had no doubt that he would be placed in Slytherin.
