Adult - George Weasley Empty
PostSubject: Adult - George Weasley   Adult - George Weasley EmptySat Jan 03, 2015 12:03 am

Basic Information;

Full Name; George Weasley
Title; Mr, but he'd rather people just call him George
Date of Birth; April 1
Age; 38
Blood Purity; pureblood
Hometown; The burrow just outside Ottery St. Catchpole
Current Home; Leadenhall Market, London (closest place to Diagon Alley)
Job; shop-owner of a joke store in Diagon Alley: Weasley's Wizard Wheezes

Appearance;

Hair; straight, relatively long, and flaming-red
Eye Color; brown
Height; fairly tall, but somewhat short compared to some of his family
Weight; he's slightly heavy for his height, being rather stocky
Body Type; He's slightly tall, but not compared to some of his family (namely Bill, Percy, and Ron), and is stocky and clearly slightly muscular, though not overly so
Dress Style; he dresses in rather exotic robes, generally
Other (eg birth mark, tattoo ect); he's missing his left ear

Personality;
Personality; George can be a bit childish, and is still very much like his younger self. Much like Peter Pan, he refuses to grow up. Except he's forced to and instead just refuses to mature. He still pulls pranks on people, and loves laughing around and joking. When he's not working, he spends his time playing, whether it be Quidditch or something else. Because he still plays sports and enjoys running around, he's still in remarkably good shape and still very athletic. He's pretty good at Quidditch, still. Though not nearly as good, partly due to the fact that he couldn't play for several years because it depressed him to be playing without Fred. Plus, half his skill came simply from how well he worked with Fred. But he's still pretty good.

George adores kids, and spends as much as possible with his own, as well as nieces and nephews and mini-Jordans and Woods. Sometimes he even gets on better with kids than adults, because he's so childish himself. He's not exactly a mature or cautious parent and lets the kids he's watching do virtually anything they want. After loosing Fred, he's become very protective of his family and friends - especially his kids. He tries not to restrain himself, otherwise he'd keep his kids in rubber-walled rooms instead of letting them run free and do whatever they want. But he's always keeping a watchful eye to make sure they don't get hurt. He even gave Fred one part of a two-way mirror when he went to Hogwarts, so he could know he was safe. And no-one lays a finger on one of his kids if they know what's good for them.

He still has a lot of the traits he did when younger. He's very perceptive, and good at cheering people up. He's very creative and inventive, and never stops coming up with new ideas for his shop. He's very brave, and not easily frightened. When he is, he works through the fear and never lets it hold him back. However, some things have changed. For the most part, less because he's grown up and more because he lost Fred. He's not as confident as he used to be, though certainly still makes the occasional comment that would lead one to believe he's full of it. This is largely because Fred was often more confident than George, and some of it seeped into George as well. Without Fred, he has a little less of it.

He also is known to have the occasional serious moment now, especially when talking about serious things. He's actually capable of going a full five minutes without making a joke. But he prefers not to, and joking is still his preferred method of coping and of helping others (by cheering them up). Most notable of all his changes is the depression caused by loosing Fred. For the most part, George keeps it at bay and it doesn't really show. But he never really recovered from his loss, and there are days when he doesn't feel like doing anything but lying in bed and crying. He tries not to succumb to this and will generally find a way to cheer himself up. But sometimes there's nothing he can do to make himself feel better.
Likes; pranks, laughing, joking, playing, flying, Quidditch, kids, his shop, his family, Fred and Roxanne, having fun, making and inventing things, having fun, cool things that others seem to be afraid of (spiders, snakeds, etc), exploring, getting money (though not quite as much as he used to now that he's gotten used to it), showing off, girls and flirting (though more in a fun, light-hearted way than actually serious), muggle magic tricks
Dislikes; being sad, sitting still, being serious for long periods of time, when other people are upset, missing Fred, worrying that someone he cares about will get hurt, people who mess with his family, prejudices, thinking about the war
Strengths; He's funny, charming, compassionate, perceptive, smart (though he doesn't always act it), creative, inventive, athletic, fit, easy-going, loyal, and brave. He has a talent for making people laugh, even in the worst of circumstances. He doesn't hold grudges, and he's good with kids.
Weaknesses; He has periods of crippling depression, and misses Fred a lot. He sometimes almost has trouble remembering how to be himself without his twin, and relies heavily on his friends and family during such times. He can be easily provoked and angered (especially by messing with his family), and would do nearly anything for his family (especially one of his kids). He can be rather cocky, though not as much as he used to be. If someone really angers him, he can be a bit callous and go too far (again, especially if they hurt his family - sensing a pattern yet?). He has trouble admitting that he can't help people, and has even more trouble when he does. When he's serious too long or around upset people too much, it can bring on one of his really bad episodes of depression. He's extremely scared of loosing someone else that he cares about, though he does pretty well at keeping control over it - it's lucky that he's always been good at controlling fear. He tends to let kids under his care do whatever they want, which can be a recipe for disaster - but he does do his best to keep them safe at the same time.
Quirks; When little kids seem scared of him he makes goofy faces, which generally either makes them better or burst into tears. When he starts getting depressed and is around people, he tends to make jokes in rapid fire but none of them wind up being very good. When he's bored, he starts thinking about possible inventions for the shop.
Habits; Even after 19 plus years, he still occasionally touches the left side of his head, as though double-checking that his ear is still missing. When he gets nervous, even if it's not about his kids, he starts fingering the two-way mirror that he always keeps in his pocket.

Background;
Childhood
George was born the younger of two twins, with his brother Fred. They were born into the midst of the first wizarding war. They were three by the time it ended and, though their parents tried to hide the fact that it was occurring at all from them, they knew that something was off. They could sense their parents' tension, though they would not understand the cause until much later. And so they took it upon themselves to lighten their load, make them laugh a little. And they've made this their responsibility ever since.

The twins were the fourth and fifth sons to a very large pureblood family. Fred and George were encouraged, albeit unintentionally, to be very close to eachother. They shared a room for simplicities sake, they were often dressed in matching outfits because their mother thought it was cute, they often shared clothes and toys with eachother. But the twins took to this treatment easily, for they actually wound up being very similair people and got along incredibely well. Fred and George spent almost all of their time together, to the point where they knew eachother so well that they hardly needed to bother to talk in order to communicate.

The boys adored their family. They were taught by their older brothers to play Quidditch, and both immediately took to the beater position. They were generally supposed to be on opposite teams because of this, but often wound up 'forgetting' and working together, anyways. When Fred and George were two, their younger brother was born. He became their favorite subject for testing pranks. A year after him came their younger sister, who the twins adored perhaps the most of all their siblings, and became very close to. They tended to make fun of their family, and spent their childhood trying to make people laugh. But they also loved them more than anything, and grew very protective of them – especially their younger siblings.

School
Fred and George tended to get into a lot of trouble at school. They enjoyed pulling pranks, making people laugh, and generally being the center of attention. They found the marauder's map in their first year, which helped them tremendously on their adventures. They gave it to their friend Harry in their fifth year, though, when they decided they knew most of it by heart and Harry would have better use of it.

The two made a good group of friends in their first year: Lee Jordan, Angelina Johnson, and Alicia Spinnet. They also got to know Oliver Wood and Katie Bell pretty well the following year, and Harry Potter the year after that. They spent a lot of time with Lee, who joined them in causing mischief a lot of the time.

In their second year, Fred and George got on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as the beaters, where they wound up becoming even closer to their friends: Oliver was the captain and Keeper, Angelina got on as a chaser at the same time as the twins, and Alicia, Katie, and Harry got on next year as chasers and the seeker respectively. Oliver pushed them hard, though the twins pushed back when he when to far (aka, trying to get them to play 24/7). However, they did love to play, and were thrilled when they won the cup in their fifth year.

For a time, George dated Alicia (from third to sixth year). They were very close, but George wound up ending it because he didn't want to wind up dating only her throughout all of Hogwarts, in case he made the wrong choice. Ironically, Fred started dating Angelina very seriously at almost the same time that George broke it off with Alicia.

After their sixth year, the twins hear that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was back. They believed it whole-heartedly, putting a lot of faith in both Dumbledore, and Harry. When Percy wound up fighting with the family over it, and eventually wound up ignoring the family, the twins were the first to start assuring their family that they didn't need him. They really did love Percy, and were rather pissed that he was being so thick. But they covered it with humor, and put their energy into trying to make their mum feel better about it.

In their fifth year, Fred and George also decided that they wanted to start a joke shop when they grew up. Their mind set on this dream, they set their minds to making the necessary money and really getting started on their inventions. They probably wouldn't have succeeded if Harry hadn't won the Triwizard Tournament in their sixth year and given them his winnings. With this money, they made great progress by the time they went back to school seventh year. They used first years as test dummies for their inventions, and even started selling some.

Fred and George were also part of Dumbledore's Army in their seventh year, but wound up leaving school early. They got fed up with how Umbridge was running the school and wanting to make a statement (and thoroughly convinced they didn't need school to be successful), they made a dramatic exit. Plus, it was a bit to help cause a distraction for Harry. After setting off some portable swamps and telling Peeves to cause as much trouble as possible, Fred and George set off on their brooms to open their store.

The War
George and Fred opened a store in Diagon Alley, calling it the Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. It was almost instantly successful, and they started making a fair amount of money off it almost instantly. They allowed Angelina to move in with them, as well, and rather enjoyed having her around - especially Fred. But, within a couple of years, the war would consume their lives.

When they were 19, Dumbledore died and the war became official. The twins joined the Order of the Phoenix, wanting to help fight. One of the first battles they were a part of was the not-so-simple task of getting Harry away from the Dursleys and to the burrow. Both the twins took poly-juice potion to disguise themselves as two of the seven Harry's. George was with Remus Lupin, and they wound up fighting with Snape. George's left ear caught the sectumsempra curse, and he wound up loosing it, though Lupin managed to stop the damage form spreading. But George took it pretty well and just made jokes about it, really. Much to his relief, Fred and the rest of his family got back safe. But they lost Mad Eye Moody. This was really the first time that the twins realized the war was real.

After their brother Bill's wedding, the twins had to be careful. Their entire family was under surveillance, and tit made it hard to keep the shop running. But they managed (even after their assistant died), determined to keep something happy through such dark times. However, they had to mostly handle it from a distance. They also started a radio program called Potterwatch, with Lee. They used fake names (Rodent and Rapier) and broadcasted anti-He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named news, namely supporting Harry.

Shortly after turning 20, Fred and George returned to Hogwarts to fight in the Final Battle. Much to their delight, Percy returned and actually apologized. Fred and George (in that order) were the first to forgive him. They didn't really hold grudges, and were just delighted to have him back. But their delight was not to last long. Fred wound up being killed, fighting alongside Percy. George wasn't even there. He was devastated when he found out, but managed to keep fighting alongside his friends. In the end, the war was won, but George was broken.

Post-War Period
George had a hard time functioning at all, for a long time. He knew Fred would have wanted him to get on with his life, but it was like half of him was missing and it didn't seem possible. But he gradually managed to regain some of his past self, with a lot of help. He spent a lot of time with Angel, who had lost her boyfriend, and still lived with him. He also spend a lot of time with Isabella, who had lost her own twin, as well. After a few years, though, she disappeared. He tried to contact her a few times, but she never replied. He never knew that she'd fallen pregnant with triplets - his daughters.

Gradually, George managed to regain some sense of self. He never really recovered from the loss of his twin brother - that's not really something you recover from. Not a day goes by that he doesn't miss him. There are days when he can barely get out of bed in the morning. But he is able to function, and has regained a lot of his old personality, able to joke and play again. He managed to keep the shop running, even through his most depressed period right after the war, with a lot of help. Angelina, Lee, and Ron all helped him run the store, along with a couple of other people he'd hired.

George wound up marrying Angelina when they were 25, truly in love with her. Plus, they both helped each other to keep functioning after Fred's death. But things got rough pretty fast. Angelina fell pregnant not long after they were married, and had a son whom they named after George's lost twin: Fred II. Four years later, they had a daughter as well: Roxanne. Angelina wound up giving up Quidditch to be a wife and mother. She wasn't really a stay-at-home mother, still helping in the shop, but she couldn't commit the time that Quidditch would take. This wound up sending her spiraling into depression.

George tried to make their marriage work, anyways. But, eventually, he had to admit that he could help her, and it was making him even more depressed, as well. And he hoped that she would be able to find happiness again, if not tied down by their marriage. So he suggested a divorce, which Angel quickly agreed to. It has recently been finalized, though they still live together for their daughter's sake (she doesn't do well with change). Plus, Angelina has lived with George (and, originally, Fred) since she moved out from her parents' place.

George adored his kids, and spent a lot of his newfound money spoiling them rotten, giving them whatever they wanted. They were both very different from him, Roxy more-so than Fred. In fact, his daughter is extremely different. She has social anxiety disorder and finds it hard to be around people, doesn't really get jokes, and spends a lot of time reading. George sometimes finds it hard to connect with her, but he truly does love her a great deal. He would do anything for either of his children.

For the most part, he just brought them to work with him when they were growing up, and Lee did the same with his kids. They set up a play-room for them, but mostly let them run wild through the store. Roxanne wound up not enjoying this very much, and started staying home once she was old enough to make her opinion known. Either Angel stayed with her or they hired a babysitter, or had an Aunt or Uncle come watch her. When Fred was around eight, George thought he was old enough to look after himself and his sister (she didn't really require much looking after), so he'd often just let the two stay home together when Fred wanted.

George is very loose with the kids, and doesn't set a lot of rules. Though they're remarkably well-behaved, anyways - especially Roxanne. He lets them do basically whatever they want. He only makes rules when it's something immensely important, and they know that, so they always obey. He loves to spend time with them and play with them, though it's easier with Fred.

George now has a very large family, with a lot of nieces and nephews. He also basically treats the Jordan and Wood kids as family, as well. He adores children, and loves having them 'round. He treats them much the same way as his own kids, which sometimes infuriates their parents. But very few of the kids don't adore him, and almost all of them listen when he does tell them to do something, because they know it's serious.

George is probably Percy's closest sibling, and Percy comes over to the house occasionally, whenever he has a problem. Therefore George is the only one that was told about what happened with Audrey. He's also pretty close to his other siblings as well, as he always has been. Overall, George really loves his entire family. His favorite part of the year is Christmas, when they all get together in a giant house they rent (along with the Jordans, Woods, and any other close friends that want to come), and spend the two weeks of school-break together.

George is still very close to Alicia, Oliver, Katie, Lee, and Angelina. Even though he divorced Angelina, it definitely wasn't because he doesn't care about her anymore - it wasn't even because they fought. They're still very good friends, as proven by the fact they still live together. Alicia and Oliver are married and both play Quidditch, so they aren't around much, but George is always there for them when they are - especially Alicia. She still turns up on his doorstep with ice-cream when upset, and George goes to her place whenever he wants to play Quidditch (they have a pitch in the backyard). Lee still works at the shop with him, and they're fast friends. He's not as close to Katie (whom Lee married), but he never was as close to her as the others, really. But they're still friends, and he gets together with her on occasion.
